I really don't like screws.

I can't tell you how many times as both a bassist and a technician, I've had to deal with the headache that is screws.

I've come across a bass control cavities with missing screws... sucks. Or, I've been on a gig and needed to make an adjustment to the controls. Now that means I have to try to find a screwdriver small enough for those screws, and try to do what I need to do without losing any screws. It all just sucks!

Those factors have brought me to what I believe is a crucial design feature... MAGNETS. These neodymium earth magnets are super strong and won't come apart without some effort. They're also featured in every JClef bass. So, if you happen to need to get into the control cavity for any reason... no problem. If you're mid-gig and realize your batteries are dying (which will also be covered in a future blog), no problem. You can change your batteries without complication.
So this is just one of the features I've included in my designs, all of which are a culmination of experiences in both gigging and tech work. If you have any questions about this or any features, please feel free to shoot me a message. See you in the next blog.
